Book Excerpt:
In the course of my three years at Florida, I had teammates
who told me: "I'm going in the first round. My agent told me
I will. He says I'll be making a million dollars a year."
Some of those college players never even got drafted. I'd see
them after the draft and they looked crushed.
That's why I tell college athletes who ask me about the draft:
Don't let anyone fill your head with with promises and
predictions. They might be setting you up for a
disappointment. Believe you'll be drafted the moment you
hear the announcement.
