in his family. From when he started playing football at the age
of eight to his mothers discipline and finally to his
grandmother dying.

Having a larger body, at times I felt like people were
staring at me. Before some of my games, my mom had to bring
my birth certificate with her. Otherwise other parents and
coaches thought I was an older boy brought in to play as
a ringer. By the time I turned eleven, I usually had to lose
weight if I wanted to play in leagues with my own age group.
Lose weight? I was growing, man! Growing and hungry, and most
of my weight was muscle. Where exectly was I supposed to lose
