Alpine WY 2003

Here's some photos from our snowmobile trip to Alpine WY in December 29-31 2003 with our friends from the Westride group. We didn't take many pictures, since it snowed the entire time, making for lousy photography (and we were having too much fun!). These were probably the best snow conditions I've ever ridden in! There was an absolutely ridiculous amount of snow! We arrived during heavy snowfall, then it snowed the whole time we were there, and the local weather said it was supposed to snow for 15 more days after we left. I don't know how much fell while we were there, maybe 3-6 FEET? The local TV news said the nearby mountains in northern Utah had gotten 6 feet in just one day's accumulation. Whatever the numbers, the result was waist to armpit deep snow to ride in. The hardcore western folks were even mumbling something that sounded like "...too much snow...", but since I know there is no such thing as too much snow, I must have heard wrong. ; )
