Interests: So, who the hell am I? Good question! I'm not entirely sure about that at this instant. I'm still searching for my niche. What I aspire to be is a Cognitive Scientist/Linguist and amateur philosopher. The former is where I'm having trouble right now. I can do as much philosophising as my heart desires, but Graduate school does not happen by thought alone. I guess for now I will settle for a job that pays me the bucks I need to be comfortable. So much for aspirations, for the meantime.

Let's get to interests I have more control over. First, I love Progressive music; the types listed in The Gibralter Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock, not the bullshit that is actually "alternative," which is ignorantly labeled "progressive." Some of my favorite bands are Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Anglagard, Anekdoten, the Dixie Dregs (Steve Morse), Dream Theater, Kings X, Queensryque, Kansas, Primus, Jethro Tull, Yes, Rush, ELP, Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Happy The Man, Hatfield And The North, Camel, Genesis (the Peter Gabriel era), and on.... I do like some music that is considered "alternative," only I refuse to lump these technically proficient and creative individuals with the trash that the populace tends to fall for. Some of these artists include Tori Amos, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Vangelis, and Enya (great calming music). I also am into contemporary orchestral music from the likes of Stravinsky, Mussorgsky, Bartock, List, Holst, and others.

Besides music, I love Sports and my pets. Basketball is my game. That and Tennis, Football, Climbing, Rollerblading, Skiing (both Nordic and Alpine), and anything else that seems like it would be fun and exciting. Also, I have a dog and a cat (yes I do like cats, mine is not "stuck up"). Both are very spoiled. In the last ten years, they quite often have taken center stage during everyday living, and especially at family gatherings. So my dog won't listen to any command except for "food" and "outside." He's just a great dog.

Lastly, I love science and refuting theists. A few glances at some of my pages ought to make this pretty clear. I welcome any question, comment, or argument on anything dealing with theism/atheism or skepticism/science, because, well, I have way too much time on my hands right now. Check back soon! There should be tens, hundreds, maybe even thousands of infinitely interesting things here, so visit often!!!
