Simple answers to simple questions
It's rude to not respond to people who've asked you a question. If your answer is 'no', they deserve that answer, not a dead-air brush off. In particular, people don't deserve to be griped at when they resend the first query, thinking it got lost. This applies equally to email and on-line paging as much as it does to face-to-face conversation. Virtual communication deserves the same courtesies as real-life communication.
