One point the Borland FAQ above fails to mention is that you need to define a library which contains a class entry for every jar file in jbuilder4/lib except for lawt.jar (for JB4) or lwtoolkit.jar (for JB3 Foundation.)

Your child JBuilder runtime needs to have its classpath set in just the same way as your platform's JBuilder launcher does, but for simplicity's sake don't include all jars in lib/ext. It's faster and easier to debug one jar at a time.
