CodeInsight isn't working! |
| CodeInsight doesn't function below any existing syntax errors in a file,
or if the file hasn't been compiled yet.
Fix any syntax errors (comment them out if you have to) and then compile
the file. CodeInsight should start working.

| The insights function by inspecting classes on the project's classpath for the information they will present to you. If there are no class files (yet), the insights have nothing to inspect.
As I understand it, CodeInsight is using the compiler to build a syntax/parse tree as you type. (This is partially reflected in the structure pane.) If you have syntax errors in the file, the compiler can't give CodeInsight a usable tree, so CI doesn't function.
Often CI will function okay in the section of the file which is above the syntax error, but sometimes the errors are such that the whole tree is garbage.
