You can either:

  1) Remove the other jvm from your search path ("which java" should identify it, "whereis java" should list all of them)

  2) Launch the installer like this:

       ./doc_install LAX_VM /path/to/jbuilder6/jdk1.3.1/bin/java

The "LAX_VM java" parameters tells the installer to use the specified java command instead of the first one it detects on the search path.
