What is the difference between a verified breakpoint (red dot) and an unverified breakpoint (red dot with green X?) |
| A breakpoint is verified when the location in the source file has been checked against the current class file. If a particlar class has already been loaded
into the JVM, and its source file hadn't changed, JBuilder will verify the breakpoint immediately when you set it.
If a class has not yet been loaded into the JVM, and you set a breakpoint in its source file, JBuilder places a green X in the breakpoint and waits for the class to be loaded into the JVM. Once JBuilder can verify the class matches the source, the green X is removed.
