Why don't changes I make to the VM Parameters take effect until I bounce JBuilder? |
| You are probably unware of a feature built into the IDE. Then you press the
green 'run' icon in the IDE's upper toolbar, JBuilder opens a new tab in the message pane. This new tab uses the runtime environment which was current when you pressed the upper 'run' icon. The new tab retains these settings and can be reused by pressing the green 'run' icon in the tab. Changes you make to the VM Paramters will NOT be reflected in tabs which are already present in the message pane.
Changes which you make in the VM Parameters will be used the next time you open a fresh run tab by pressing the green 'run' icon in the upper toolbar.
The goal of this feature is to allow you to setup one or more run tabs in the message pane with varying VM parameters, and rerun them as desired, perhaps as a known-good or known-bad reference.
