Printing doesn't work! |
JBuilder contains a patch jar which fixes some issues with AWT. The AWT fixes break printing. If you really need printing, you can edit JBuilder.config and find the line:addbootpath ../lib/lawt.jar Comment this line out by prefacing it with a # character. Restart JBuilder. This should unbreak some of the printing. Note that Java itself doesn't support printing all that well yet, so this may not fix whatever problem you're having within JBuilder. And since it's removing fixes for AWT issues, you may experience more/different problems.
The lawt.jar contains lightweight Swing proxies for the heavyweight AWT classes. This makes it possible for a Bean Designer written in Swing to handle the AWT components without having the usual painting issues you see when mixing lightweight and heavyweight components. | |
| A user on Windows 98 reports that if he installs jbWheel 0.90, he can no longer print, but if he reverts to jbWheel 0.88, he can print. He also uses a non-English locale.
