When I launch the JB4 installer (or just insert the auto-play CDRom), I get the following dialog: "javaw.exe - Application Error, The instruction at "0x500bf974" referenced memory at "0x00000e7f". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program." |
| If you have Norton Antivirus installed on the machine, it will conflict with the javaw.exe command in the installer.

| The autorun cdrom launches the file install_windows.exe. This executable seems to be the one Norton AV dislikes.
Try to install JBuilder by executing "install.jar" instead. This assumes you already have a jdk on your machine and that it groks jar files. If doubleclicking on the jar file in Explorer doesn't work, try this:

| I'm getting this same "javaw.exe Application Error" problem using win2k with service pack 2. I don't have NAV installed on my system.

When I launch JBuilder, I see the splash screen, or a blank window where the splash screen should be, and nothing happens.
