SUBHEADLINE: Now even lower auto insurance rates for Pilots

Minnesota Insurance Company recently announced that it is lowering auto insurance rates for licensed pilots under its Advantage Program.

According to Kevin DeVann, MIC's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, this decision was reached after careful review of the preliminary marketing and claims results under the program. "Our initial research indicated that pilots in this area should reflect superior auto insurance risks. The results of the program after about 12 months reflect that the claims experience will probably be lower than we expected. Therefore, we decided to reduce the rates for existing insured pilots, and hopefully attract more pilots into the group."

Kevin Gruys, President of Aircraft and Marine Insurance Agency agrees. "our initial pricing under this program yielded rates that were competitive with the market leaders. These new rates should put us well under those market leaders." Gruys helped create MIC's Aviators Advantage program.
