Politics and Beliefs
First off, I am a card carrying member of the ACLU and the NRA.
I am also an atheist. This does not mean anything except that I do not believe in the existence of
a higher (supreme) being of any kind. No, this does not mean I "believe" in science. The term
atheist in and of itself has no real meaning. I mean, no-one goes around labeling themselves as
things they are not. You usually label yourself as what you are. When was the last time you
espoused yourself as a non-easter-bunnian or an a-santaist. Chances are you don't believe in the
easter bunny or santa claus - but most people don't. The term "atheist" only has meaning because
the majority of people believe in some kind of god.
Please, please, please don't write me mail saying "I'll pray for you" or "You are going to burn
in hell". It is very tiresome and I probably won't read it. I don't believe there is a hell anyway
so threatening me with it is really stupid. I guess I really can't stop you from praying for me but
I would rather you didn't waste your time.
