Detailed Description:
The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band (HWCB) will be one of the featured performing
groups at the Lions Club Benefit Concert on Saturday evening, March 3, 2007, at
the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet Hopkins. The Metropolitan
Boys Choir will perform onstage first, followed by the Hopkins Westwind Concert
Band with the Minnesota Go-4-S Barbershop Group in the Lobby and the
Silverwinds Flute Choir in the Auditorium during Intermission. Doors open at
6:30 PM; the concert begins at 7:00PM.
The Lions Club Benefit Concert is sponsored by the Hopkins Lions Club and the
Hopkins Noontime Lions Club. Funds raised will provide scholarships for
Hopkins High School Seniors, aid eyeglass purchases for students in the Hopkins
School District, and assist with purchasing school supplies for Hopkins
students. Tickets are $10 each and are available from Lions Club members or by
calling the Hopkins Center for the Arts Box Office at 952.979-1111. Free
parking is available in the Municipal Parking Ramp located 1/2 block south of
Mainstreet on 11th Ave South.
