"Shoreview Holiday Concert...and sing-along"

The Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band will present its annual holiday concert on December 11, 7:00 p.m. at Benson Great Hall on the campus of Bethel College, in Arden Hills. Dubbed the "Shoreview Holiday Concert...and sing-along", it will feature guest vocalists from the St. Odilia Church Choir, as well as several small ensembles from the Band. Selections will include a wide variety of Christmas and Holiday music, in different styles. The concert concludes with Handel's Halleluia Chorus, with the band and choir.

New Prague Community Band Outdoor Concerts

Also we have 2 outdoor concerts coming up at 400 E. Main St. in New Prague. The first on 5/28 and the other on 6/11, both at 7:00 PM. Programs will include show tunes, marches and other light selections. In addition there will be a set at each concert featuring our swing band.

This is the 100th Anniversary Concert by the Minnesota State Band. The concert will includes selections from the band's 100 years of musical history. Mr. Kurt Erich Schmid, the conductor of the Musikverein Ellzee and Vice Conductor of the Allgau Musikbund of Bavaria, Germany will also guest conduct the Minnesota State Band.

Band performances start at 1:00 P.M. and continue through the afternoon and early evening. Come and spend part of the day or all of the day to hear guest bands perform in a "live" and "historic" setting in the courtyard of the Landmark Center!

NOTE TO BAND DIRECTORS: There are performance openings yet for two or three bands. If you wish to present your band in concert in this unique setting, contact Herminio Diaz for information.
