Revision 466
This is a rather major maintenance release for Skype 2.x users,
incorporating as many fixes from more recent scripts as seems applicable
to Skype 2.x. This script version needs testing by Skype 2.x users,
preferably Skype 2.0 and Skype 2.5 at least, because I don't run those
anymore. I consider this an alpha, not even a beta, because I never
actually ran these scripts myself. Feedback welcome, ye brave souls
out there; but don't forget how to back up to revision 396 if
something doesn't work here.
The following changes are included:
- Ctrl+Shift+W works again. I failed to notice a subtle
rule of URL composition that was causing Ctrl+Shift+W to
report that my web page could not be found even though it was perfectly
functional and could be reached manually.
- Chat lines should now flash onto Braille displays when they come in
and when alt+number commands are used to read them manually.
- Double-striking Alt+numbers will virtualize particular chat messages.
- Added "Press Escape to close this message" to virtual buffers.
- There should now be fewer extra pauses in the middle of long chat
lines.
- Technical call info windows, when they come up at all, will no longer
contain so many extra blank lines.
- Removed SkypeCOMAPI.jsh, which was to have been removed already but
apparently wasn't.
- This version's JAWSKey+Q now says these scripts are
intended for Skype 2.x.
- Ctrl+numbers now switch to specific tabs like Ctrl+Alt+numbers do,
for consistency with scripts for later Skype versions. Ctrl+T
also does what Ctrl+Shift+T does.
- Ctrl+Accent now lists tabs just like Ctrl+T
does. This idea came from Jim Grimsby.
- The incremental search through the Select a Contact list, the first
of the two Pick Contact and Action lists from Ctrl+Shift+L,
should now work in more JAWS versions.
- Users of Advanced-mode JAWS verbosity should now hear the same extra
information about which sounds are set to play in the Options page for
Sounds as users of other verbosities do.
- Several internal code speedups and cleanups occurred that are not
listed individually here.

Revision 396
This is an update for Skype 2.5 and possibly 2.0 users only. It
contains selected fixes to revision 355 drawn from work done for Skype
3, as follows:
- Fixed line ending issues that could make code look strange in some
editors.
- Hopefully fixed chat commands (Alt+numbers) under Skype 2.5 and
possibly 2.0. These were broken by updates for Skype 3.0.
- Updated help text.
- Fixed problems arrowing through some lists in JAWS 7.0 and older.
- Fixed compilation under JAWS 4.51.
- Removed the unused SkypeCOMAPI.jss file, making SkypeCOMAPI.jsb
obsolete also.

Revision 355
Revision 355 is a minor update from revision 348 and is considered a
stable release in the absence of user complaint to the contrary.
The differences since revision 348 are
- JAWS should no longer read the wrong line sometimes in active
conference tab participant lists and the Tools > Options page list as
the user arrows through them.
- JAWSKey+Q now reports that these scripts are primarily intended
for Skype 3.0.
- Keyboard Help mode now includes help for Alt+number and Alt+Accent commands.
- The Ctrl+Shift+W command now goes to the new Skype
script site rather than to the old one.
- The script version number sent to the Skype script site is now the
actual revision number rather than 500.
Known issues (these also apply to revision 348):
- JAWSKey+H help is rather stale.
- Ctrl+M works only after mood text has been edited once after the
last Skype restart. It does not work on the first attempt, though it
does turn on and off the on-screen Mood Text box. Enable View >
Accessibility > Extended Keyboard Navigation, then use Tools > Edit My
Mood Text to edit mood text for the first time. (Found by Tun Parak)
- One person reports that, under Skype 2.5, chats don't read and
Alt+numbers don't read chat lines. I have not heard this from anyone
else, and I believe it is specific to Skype 2.5.

Revision 298
Revision 298 is targeted at Skype 2.x versions for the most part but
can also be used, though with a few problems, with Skype 3.0.

Revision 275
Revision 275 is targeted at Skype 2.x versions and will probably not
work with later Skype versions. Whether revision 275 or revision 298
is better for a particular Skype 2.x version seems to be a matter of
personal opinion.
