This program is intended for use in keeping track of parties at
science fiction conventions.
It automatically sorts parties entered into it into a listing by
hotel, day, and room order (sorting parties so that those on the
highest floors are listed first).
Version 2.3 adds the following features:
- There are now left-right arrow gadgets at the bottom of the screen
that move to the start of the previous or next day's worth of
parties.
- When showing just one day's parties, the screen title indicates
this.
- It's now possible to mark a party as being inactive, and to only
show active parties.
- It's now possible to enter the room for a party as a range of
rooms. This will sort as the first room in the range.
- It's now possible to enter the room for a party as something like
'6xx'; this will sort as '600'.
Version 2.2 adds the following feature:
- It's now possible to add a party listing for every day of a
convention at once, by selecting 'Every' from the list of days. Each
entry added is separate, so each one can later be edited or deleted
separately without changing the other items added at the same time.
- Tapping on a day to list only that day's parties now works
correctly when there are more parties in the list than can be
displayed on one screen.
Version 2.1 adds the following feature:
- Tapping on a day in the list of all parties changes the mode to
list only that day's parties. To return to the list of all parties,
tap on the A button that appears when listing only parties for one
day.
Version 2.0 adds the following features:
- Listing of more than one day's worth of parties.
- Private parties.
- Beaming of parties (either a single party, a days' worth of
parties, or all the parties entered in the unit).
- A notes field.
- A time field.
- The ability to have non-numeric rooms. These will be sorted at
the bottom of the list, in alphabetical order.
Version 1.0 only allows listing of one day's
worth of parties at a time, and does not allow beaming.
All versions have been tested on a Palm III and Palm IIIx, as well as
the Palm OS Emulator. (Much more testing has been done on the new (2.0
and 2.1 and 2.2)
versions.)
