November 1999. Just another small synchro-drive bot... The magic component here is using the 90 degree bend piece to mount the 8t gears that link the steering to the 'front' turntable. Also note the o-rings used for wheels as these are key components in making this bot track more accurately. A four wheel version would be a bit more stable and track better also... just need to get another turntable. Another option with this design is to extend the vertical drive axle on the 'front' wheel and extend the axle with the 8T gear between the two rear turntables. You can then mount the motors in the middle and use 8t/24t crown gear sets to drive these making the overall size smaller when viewed from above. It does get a bit tall though.
