The weather this year kept us on our toes forcing us to start setting up only three days before the big night. Thursday Night Dave and Jordan came up and we watched it rain on the tent covering the crypt. No yard decorations would go out this night, but Friday we started putting everything out. By the time we started putting up the Cemetery arch we were a bit punch drunk, as seen in this picture. we're all crazy here!
But that all passed without major injury and on Halloween night the yard was bathed in warm yellow, orange, and red light. This was probably the best looking yard we've had to date (not bad for seven years!). The Great Pumpkin you can see in this picture is a brand new prop this year. He got a great little pumpkin patch diarama that Jordan built and received quite a few comments from the TOTs. yard right
Great Pumpkin Close up Welcome Great Pumpkin Welcome Great Pumpkin
On the other side of the yard we had quite a bit of new stuff. We created a bust containing a theremin that TOTs could play. It actually was pretty interesting to see how people discovered it and actually played it. Screaming Skull 1 Musician 1
Jimmy&Jen For the first time Jimmy actually made it into our real coffin and was sitting up with sound in time for the first TOT. Jennifer gets a little cuddle time with Jimmy in his new digs.
Jimmy&Jen In the queing area for the haunt we put a grave jumper to catch some folks by surprise. Jimmy&Jen
We built a warning guardian this year... Warning
Looks like the blind dead have decided to guard our fountain of everlife. (sorry about the picture quality) Blind Dead & Fountain
Decender We finished the decender this year. It was placed near the haunt exit. Decender
