The Magician’s boy would love to learn magic, but the magician will not allow him to-yet. He is allowed to help out in the puppet show, as he helps to tell the story of St. George and the Dragon by pulling on the puppet strings of all the characters. When St. George disappears the magician is infuriated and he hurls the boy into the Land of Story to find St. George and bring him back! The boy encounters several familiar characters and critters from across the land of fairy tales in his wild search for St. George.
