Round 2:
  • Numbers will be picked out of a hat by all owners to determine the draft order. The number 1 will pick first, 8 last.
Round 3:
  • Numbers will be picked out of a hat by all owners to determine the draft order. The number 1 will pick first, 8 last.
Each owner will choose a driver from the pool of available Nextel Cup Drivers when it is their turn to pick. Each team will be comprised of three drivers.

Scoring
The race points (plus bonus points) earned by all drivers will be tallied after each race. Each owner's three driver's points will be added together and the owner with the most points will win that week's race.

Non-points events will not be counted.

The points will be taken from the www.nascar.com results page for each race.

Weekly Pole Winner
The owner that holds the pole winner for the race will receive the pole bonus for that week. The pole bonus will start at $1.00 beginning with the first points race of the year. Each week another $1.00 will be added to the pole bonus. If no owner has the pole winner for a given week, the pole bonus will roll up to the next week. If the pole bonus has not been awarded for the last race of the season, the owner with the last pole sitter will receive the final week’s pole bonus. The driver has to win the pole for the owner of that driver to be eligible for this bonus. We will follow the NASCAR rules in this area. If NASCAR deems that the pole wasn't "won", the weekly pole bonus money will roll up to the next week.

Trading
An owner may trade drivers at any point in the year with other owners or with an available driver in the pool. If the trade is with another owner, it is up to those two owners to define the parameters of that trade. A trade must be communicated to the commissioner before the current week's qualifying in order for the trade to be valid for that week's race. If not, the trade will go into effect after that week's race has been completed.

Ethical trading is strongly suggested.

Driver Injury
If an owner is forced to trade a driver in the case of an injury (whether short or long term), the owner can decide to enact the No Stealing clause. This means that when the driver returns from injury, no other owners can trade for the driver in question if the owner that enacted the No Stealing clause still wants that driver. The No Stealing clause applies only to drivers that have been injured. The driver that enacted the No Stealing clause has one week from the day that the injured driver returns to claim him/her, at that point any owner may trade for that driver. There will be no penalty imposed on the owner for enacting the No Stealing clause.

Penalties
The following penalties exist:

  1. For each driver change the owner will donate a 6-pack of beer to the year end party.
  2. Driver point penalties imposed by NASCAR will be deducted from each driver for the given race they are penalized. If these penalties are imposed after the results have been tabulated, the finishing order from that race could change.
