The DC³ is a kind of canoe club that was unofficially formed in August of 1977, though none of the members knew it at the time. It is an ad hoc group without a written charter or by laws. Neither are there any officers. The term DC³ was coined in 1996 for the purpose of collecting together under one name the accounts of trips made year after year by this constantly evolving group of canoe campers. It was at this time that the DC³ (under the title of Kamala's BWCA Page) first appeared on the World Wide Web.
The main purpose of this site is to provide entertainment both to the general public and to members of the DC³. It is also intended as a resource for members. For example, Jim might be sitting at home wondering, "Just exactly where was it that I got dishwater thrown on me?" Or Tûr might be thinking, "Where is that new favorite campsite on Omega?" Kegger might muse, "Why does Kamala insist that Malberg trips are harder than Insula ones?" Well, now they can come here and look it up.
This site is not intended to suggest routes, methods, techniques or behaviors to others. However, if that is the result we are not displeased. That being said, the Clinic section does provide some information about how the DC³ executes its missions.
