Where can I hike in the Northern Midwest?

Since moving to Minnesota, I've become a bit of a backpacker. I've always been a freak for the outdoors, and have now discovered the pleasures of carrying everything you need to survive away from 'civilization' to experience living at a different level. Some of these trips have been local, some a bit further away. Enjoy!

• Isle Royale National Park, on the North Shore of Lake Superior, but actually a part of MI.
• Superior Hiking Trail, a 240 mile trail along the North Shore of Superior, within MN.
• Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, a peninsula on the North Shore of Superior, within ONT.
• Yellow River State Forest, in North Eastern Iowa (?!?).
• Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
• Haleakala National Park in Hawaii.
• Lake Maria State Park, a quick getaway an hour from Minneapolis.
• The Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin.
