Farmhouse: Hallway and Living Room
All doorways in the front part of the house lead to the front hallway, a J-shaped area with the short tail starting at the stairs, the front door hitting the bottom curve, the doorless opening to the living room halfway up the long side, and the also doorless opening to the kitchen and dining room at the very top. The hall has a simple wooden floor, and decorated with a generic print of soft-colored flowers hanging on the wall to the right of the front door, and a tall table sitting under the print which serves as a place to toss keys. A closet under the stairs serves as a place to hang coats or to toss shoes.

The doorless opening to the living room is halfway up the side of the hall's J, and the word cozy might spring to mind when looking into is, as it seems to radiate comforting vibrations. A long couch sits against the south wall beneath a large bay window curtained only by sheers that manages to obscure the view in but only filters the day's light. A variety of out-of-date magazines are strewn atop a low coffee table; more neatly presented are the plethora of books filling the small bookshelves which line the eastern wall. Three chairs sit about the room, focused inward, to allow group conversations. Large floor pillows are stacked in one corner of the room, except one, which lies carelessly in the middle of the floor, apparently left out the last time it was used.

An opening in the northern end of the hallway allows access to the kitchen and dining room at the back of the house, while carpeted stairs twist up at the other end of the hall, leading to the second floor. A door at the base of the J lets out to the front porch.

Obvious exits:
Kitchen/Dining Room Front Door STairs

"...This is the farmhouse." Nat's got no qualms about pointing out the obvious, it would seem. "You'll probably get one of the rooms upstairs to sleep in. I really don't know how they do it out here." She leads the way into the living room with a nod for the stairs. "Hopefully we'll run into, hmn, Trevor. Maybe Taslyn. They'll be able to get you set up."

Lucas slowly looks around the farm and the house at they go, inwardly sighing. "It'll take some getting used to... never been this far into the country." He says with his hands in his pockets. "So, how many live here?"

Natalie says, "Ya got me, really. I know that this is where most of the cubs live, and there's enough adults passing through that you'll be able to meet pretty much every tribe." She completes her whirlwind 'tour' of the downstairs by merely nodding toward the kitchen. He's a teenager, he ought to know what those are for. "We don't have any Red Talons here, but at least one of everything else. Including a Stargazer, which is weird as hell in itself. Then again," she quirks a self-satisfied smile, "so is Flash."

Lucas, who has gotten a quick kin's description of each tribe, nods his head to Natalie as she speaks. He doesn't ask anything else at the moment, simply snooping around and familiarizing himself with things.

"In a minute," Nat continues, watching him as he explores, "I'll show you the barn. I'm not up on all the rules out here, but I know that you can't shift in the house or anywhere in the farmyard. Barn's OK, so are the woods."

Megan's footsteps can be heard on the porch outside, through the screen door, before the hinges of the screendoor itself creak in protest as it is opened to allow admission to the Fianna. She calls out to the house, "It's just me, Megan," to announce herself, then looks curious as she hears the voices down the hall.

"Any other rules," Nat begins, only to stiffen at the Alpha's call. "...In here, Megan-rhya!" she calls back, flashing the cub a 'straighten up and fly right' Look. "Remember what I told you about your manners!"

Lucas jerks his head to the door, to Natalie, then back to the door. The cub stands up straight as he heads back to the Walker, looking for the source of this new voice.

"Ahhh, Natalie," Megan says with obvious welcome, but the casual smile fades and turns to interested assessment, and caution, as she spies Lucas. "Who do we have here?"

"A lost cub, Megan-rhya," the Galliard answers, more reserved and polite than Lucas has heard her so far. "Joshua found him a little over a week ago. I wanted to make sure he had the basics before we brought him out here." She tucks her unslung hand behind her back and nods toward the cub. "Go ahead and give her your introduction."

Lucas regards Megan directly for a moment before dips his chin and his eyes to her. "I'm Lucas Whistler, Ahroun." He leaves off the rest since Nat already said it, to save on being redundant.

Megan gives Lucas a reassuring smile, but then eyes him once more. "And you've verified he doesn't have the Kinfetch mark?" she probably asks of Natalie, although she's looking still at the ahroun cub.

Natalie looks faintly sheepish and offers the Alpha an appeasing grin. "I haven't, no. I don't know if anyone else has. I've been um... a little distracted the last few days. We've got another cub too - lupus. She's definitely ours." Of course, Nat's wounds might suggest another reason for her distraction, but she doesn't bring that up.

Megan blinks with surprise. "A lupus Glass Walker cub? Really?" If she suspects another reason for the distraction, she doesn't let on.

"Really," Nat agrees. "Cockroach was having hysterics on my cell. Her name's Chaney, and we're still getting her settled in." She waits a beat before adding, "Also, Leala's gone out of town indefinitely, so I'm acting Elder in her stead. And Joshua is back out here on the bawn, since his two months is up." Interesting how she managed to say the bit about Josh in the same 'I'm just delivering news' tone. Must be that Galliard training.

Lucas doesn't seem impressed in the least by this news, but then, he doesn't know how unusual it is. He folds his arms over the wave logo on his chest and trails his eyes back through the house.

"Huh," Megan says, sounding vaguely impressed. "I've only known one other Glass Walker lupus, and that was Daisy here a few years ago." She falls silent momentarily, studying Natalie now at her additional news, then narrowing her eyes of a sudden in critical thought.

Natalie opens her mouth as if to add something, closes it again. Tries once more, her words coming more quickly under the Alpha's gaze. "Um... so we've given Lucas a quick rundown on the tribes, the Litany, auspices, forms. You know. The basic stuff."

Lucas returns his attention to the conversation as his name comes up, and offers a nod to verify Natalie's words. However, the young lad is keeping his trap shut, letting the two who actually know what they're talking about to speak.

Megan is silent a few moments longer, before jerking her head in a nod. "Good. If he turns out to actually be a Lost Cub, are the Glass Walkers going to be continuing to watch out for him until he finds a tribe? Are you interested in possibly claiming him?"

Natalie blinks at the older woman. "...Megan? I... Perhaps I misunderstood. I thought all lost cubs had to come out to the farm so they could learn about all the tribes?" She glances at the cub in question, then Megan. "Maybe he could go explore the barn and house while we talk?"

A shadow appears in the front doorway, followed shortly by the door itself opening to reveal a scraggly youth who could certainly stand to, if nothing else, brush his hair; indeed, he certainly looks like even being tossed in the local pond would improve his current appearance. With his attention on something behind him for the moment, Aidan enters the living room, letting the door shut with a sly grin at whatever's outside before turning and stopping in his tracks at the sight of a few others. Brow raising, the young Fianna stuffs his hands in the ragged pockets of his equally ragged jeans, stares fixedly at the one he doesn't know - Lucas - and then attempts to move past the small group and to the kitchen without interrupting further.

Lucas looks first to one woman and then the other, a crease appearing in his brows under the curtain of black hair. Huh. "I can go, if you want." He declares in a subdued tone, prepared to be shooed off, despite his curiosity with what sounds like his fate.

"I like that they do," Megan responds to Natalie, "but that doesn't mean that if the Glass Walkers don't want to continue watching out for his well-being that I'm going to stop you. No more than Olga gave up anything with regards to Joey," she makes a twisting face, "and the Fianna are still keeping an especial eye out on Mara." She pauses, but then glances over her shoulder into the hallway to notice Aidan, then after eyeing Lucas, gives a nod. "Sure, if he wants to, but you don't have to go if you'd rather not. Better yet, here, meet Aidan, another ahroun cub." She steps aside to allow Aidan to pass into the living room at the invitation, if he chooses to.

"We'll happily keep an eye on him - on you," Nat corrects with a nod for Lucas. "At least, I'll try. Things are coming to a head in the city right now with the return of the Doctor, so we might have to leave you out here alone for a bit, but we're not just going to drop you out here and forget you. ...Aidan," she adds with a nod for the other cub.

Rolling his eyes, but deciding, perhaps wisely, to not continue on his way and leave the introduction from his alpha hanging, Aidan stops and slips into the living room, nodding to Lucas but not offering his own hand just yet. "Hey." Though he may be curious about Lucas, he's not so curious as to actually ask questions about the other cub.

Lucas nods once to Natalie, not seeming to like the idea of being dumped in yet another strange place without the few people he's come to recognize, and the grumble is visible on his face. As Aidan is introduces, he turns and regards him closely. "Yo." Is the returned greeting, sounding just about as enthused.

Megan takes a deep breath, but then sighs a little. "Well, Trevor will obviously be keeping an eye on him, but if you're going to be busy with city stuff, I can make sure the Fianna out here know to keep an eye on Lucas in addition to Aidan, Cole, Brianna, and Mara. What's one more?" she asks drily, then turning to Lucas. "I promise it'll be okay. If you do turn out to be a Lost Cub...Mara is definitely one, and she's looking for a tribe as well."

"We'd keep you at Roach Central, but then no one'd come visit," Nat offers to Lucas with half of a grin before turning back to Megan. "...If it's easier, we can keep him in the City for a bit longer. I just didn't... just didn't want to be accused of trying to, um, sway him. Unduly."

A tinge of amusement is written in Aidan's features as he surveys the new cub before he half turns to face Megan, "So what, you want me to go take him around or something while you two talk?" He lifts a hand to scratch at his chin, quite content to keep his current aloof attitude. "I don't need anyone to look out for me, he can have my spot," he points out with just the hint of an impudent smile, leaning back against the wall. "Nothing ever happens around here anyway."

Tecmessa, with a small bag of groceries in hand, slips in the back door. She unpacks them smoothly, before grabbing a drink and heading into the living room. "Oh, sometimes it does. You don't really want to be around for times like that. It tends to involve blood and gore. Hello," she adds, giving Megan a brief grin.

Lucas gives Aidan the hint of a scowl at the suggestion he needs looking over. Which he does, but he'd never admit. "I can stay here." He announces decisivly to Alpha and Glass Walker, his arms still folded over his chest. "It'll be easier to learn more."

Megan gives Tecmessa a highly pleased smile. Natalie and Aidan, at least, who know her well, might notice a real warmth in her expression that they've never seen before. "Hey, dearthair," she says to the Black Fury, before turning to give Aidan a sharp look. "Don't make me kick your ass to remind you what a punkass you are right now, Aidan," she says lightly, but it's not entirely clear that she's joking. She then glances at Lucas once, and nods. "Yes, why don't you give him a tour of the barn and the back forty so we don't completely bore you. And if you two feel like gettting your ya-yas out, go settle it in the barn. Just, don't kill him, Aidan, he's new."

Natalie offers an arch, "I'll tell Emily you're pining already, shall I?" to Lucas, then a tense nod to Tecmessa which lessens slightly at Megan's greeting. "Natalie Baker, Galliard and acting elder for the Walkers."

"Yea, well, let me know when something does happen. I might just die of shock," Aidan answers with as much impudence as he's let creep into his expression, once again pushing his luck. But he doesn't go too far this time - Megan's left it open as to whether or not he could be facing said ass-kicking. Lifting his hands from his pockets to stretch his arms behind him, Aidan nods towards the door, "So, coming along?" he intones towards Lucas. He doesn't exactly wait for an answer though and starts out, ready to either leave the group behind and do his own thing or let Lucas play tag-along.

Tecmessa gives the two cubs an interested sort of look, and almost smiles at Aidan-- her eyes certainly do. Her attention, however, centers on Natalie, and she inclines her head. "I am Tecmessa Ardenas. Also known as Feels the Balance. Half moon of the Black Furies. Pleased to meet you."

"Tell her thanks again, for the clothes." Lucas says to Natalie and then, silent and suitably broody, follows after Aidan with a faint tightness to his jaws.

Megan watches the cubs leave, then rips a snort while shaking her head. She looks between Natalie and Tecmessa with a small smile, but then sighs with regret, and focuses on the Glass Walker. "I'm sorry I didn't call you back sooner, I didn't get the message until late last night. Was Lucas what you'd wanted to talk to me about?"

Natalie shakes her head, excusing the Elder. "Not precisely. Yes him, but also," she gestures to her scratched-up face, "This. Emily was frantically calling around for someone with Mother's Touch. I told her not to worry about it, but. She's kin," she adds after a moment, for Tecmessa's benefit.

Tecmessa murmurs, "Active bunch," obviously in reference to the cubs, and then sobers, eyebrow raising inquiringly. She doesn't actually ask why Emily needed it, though the way she leans forward a touch implies she soon might.

Megan shoots Tecmessa a wry smile for her voiced observation, but then turns back to Natalie, scowling a bit. "I'm glad you told her not to worry too much. The gift's being overused, in my opinion. Hell, we heal from almost mortal wounds in less than a week, save the Mother's Touch for when it's actually important," she says, dimissively. She then lets out a sigh of exasperation, releasing some of the irritation, but jerks her chin. "Reminds me, though, there is something I need to talk to you about. Jervis is wanting to write out a rather substantial check for his chiminage. And, I seem to remember that trying to cash checks of extraordinary amounts can raise eyebrows and red flags within the banking system. Do you, or your tribemates, know of a way we can get around this? I seem to recall that one of the Glass Walker's former elders, J.J. Malone, may have set up a trust fund of chiminage money. Could we possibly add it into that?"

"...Um," Nat offers blankly, her attention focusing inward. "...You know, Thomas never mentioned that to me, and I didn't come across it while I was elder." She considers half a moment longer, then nods decisively. "But I'll ask Marcus. I'm sure he knows how to cash the mega-checks, or could set up a trust fund like that. Let me get back to you... hmn. By the 25th. A couple of weeks, and I'll know more." She doesn't, one might note, mention Leala's name.

"One week," Megan says, unapologetically. "Which is what I told Jervis I'd have an answer to him by. He's been languishing around for too long now as it is."

Natalie grimaces, but nods. "One week." All hail the power of the Alpha. You can get cliath to do whatever you say. "...If that's everything? I should be getting back. Gotta stop by the pet store and pick up more Kongs for Chaney. She's chewing like there's no tomorrow, or like everything's got a soft liver-flavored inside."

Tecmessa sips her water, and murmurs, "Farewell. Walk with the Mother."

*creaaaaak* *clunk* *grumble*
These are the sounds from the porch; someone stepping up onto the wooden front, setting something down and them muttering to itself. Herself in fact, since the voice is feminine. Then, after a moment's pause - perhaps to steel nerve - there's a knock on the front door. Whoever it is apparently doesn't feel comfortable just wandering in, like most of the farm's visitors.

Megan is standing in the living room with the two cliath Garou, arms crossed over her chest. "Let me know," she says to Natalie, giving a nod of agreement to Tecmessa's words, but then pauses at the sound of the knocking. She flashes suspicious looks at both Tecmessa and Natalie, then heads slowly to the door which only has a screen between outside and in. "Hello?"

Tecmessa looks fairly baffled, herself, as she drifts closer to the door. She's not backing Megan up, she's just curious. No, really.

"Oh, hi." The visitor seems to be of native descent and is carrying a fairly hefty walking stave with her, some six feet tall and easily two handspans around. She looks at Megan oddly for a moment, recognition not coming to her expression. Her dark gaze flits over Tecmessa too, with that same lack of knowledge, before she voices, "I....was looking for Leonard. He's not around, is he?" Never mind that aforementioned 'rou is long gone.

Natalie, on the other hand, disappears back into the kitchen. With her arm broken, she's less than completely useful in a fight.
