Spring, 1942.
Before the bridge was built in 1943, the only
way for trucks to cross the Peace River was by ferry.
When the '43 bridge was being built a huge flood
came and washed away some equipment.
Another flood, in October of 1957, eventually
wased out the whole thing.
A new bridge wasn't opened to traffic until 1960.
