The following information is specific to connecting to VISI's FTP server, although the configuration for connecting to other FTP servers is nearly identical (different hostname, and possibly different username/password.
Open FireFTP and click on "Create Account" in the upper left.
Enter "VISI" into account name. Enter "spanky.visi.com" into the "Host" field. Enter your username into the "Login" field and enter the corresponding password for your account into the "password" field.
Click on the Connections tab and enter '"secure" into Remote under "Initial Directories". Then click "OK" to save the configuration.
Click "Connect" in the upper left side.
Anonymous Configuration
Open FireFTP and click "Create Account". Enter "VISI" for the Account Name and "spanky.visi.com" for the Host. You will enter your username as the "Login" and your password in the "Password" field. Near the bottome then choose "Anonymous". You will then click on the Connection tab and enter "secure" under Remote. Click "OK" and connect!
To download Files
To download a file from VISI to your computer, click on the file in the right hand side of the window to select it then click on the "<--" button. To upload a file from your computer to VISI, click on the file in the left hand side of the window to select it then click on the "-->" button. ASCII text and HTML files should be transferred as "ASCII". GIF, JPEG, audio, and other binary file formats should be transferred as "Binary".
