MADISON, Wis. (Sept. 27, 2012)—TEAM Technologies is changing its name to Vital Support Systems. The name change is part of the evolution of the TDS Hosted & Managed Services, LLC (TDS HMS) strategy and follows the recent acquisition of Vital Support Systems LLC (June 2012). 

“Changing the name to Vital Support Systems provides greater visibility to the additional capabilities and product engineering now available to all of our customers,” says Bill Megan, president of TDS HMS headquartered in Madison, Wis. “Combined, Vital and TEAM have very strong capabilities, as well as talented personnel who are positioned for growth in the quickly expanding world of cloud computing.” 

Vital currently offers a comprehensive suite of products and services, including: planning, engineering, procurement, installation, and management of IT infrastructure solutions from world-class hardware and software vendors such as Cisco, EMC, Hewlett Packard, VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix. Combining TEAM’s three state-of-the-art Tier III and Tier II data centers in Wisconsin and Iowa with Vital’s product portfolio strengthens the shared service offering. Together, they will be able to provide a wide range of IT solutions, such as colocation, disaster recovery, and data security services to businesses throughout the Midwest.

Additionally, TDS HMS’ newly launched ReliaCloud™ product offering is now available to the Wisconsin market through Vital, at the former TEAM data center. ReliaCloud is a complete, enterprise-class cloud solution that handles scalability and high performance data management for use in public, private, and hybrid cloud configurations. The compliant-capable, cloud solution is designed for resource intense applications and databases that require a secure operational framework, while enabling customers to meet HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA and other regulatory compliance requirements.  

TDS HMS announced the availability of ReliaCloud in Iowa through Vital in mid-August and through VISI in Minnesota earlier this month. Built on Cisco, EMC, and VMware technologies, the fully redundant ReliaCloud solution is located in TDS HMS’ Midwest Tier III data centers in Eden Prairie, Minn., Madison, Wis., and Des Moines, Iowa.
