However, with burstable service, you have access to “burst” above the bandwidth tier you’ve committed to should the need arise.

1The Burstable Bandwidth is added to the monthly Burstable VMOE base rate. Monthly Burstable Bandwidth charges are based on the 95th Percentile. The 95th Percentile is calculated by polling both inbound and outbound bandwidth utilization every five (5) minutes. All of the samples that were pulled throughout the month are then ordered from highest to lowest. The top 5 percent of readings are then discarded, and the customer is billed based on the next highest reading. Burstable Bandwidth is billed in arrears, the month after the usage occurs.
