The Actiontec 152X is a solution for home or small office networks. With NAT and DHCP support, the Actiontec 152X is a solution for those wishing to put their network online without the fees associated with purchasing Network blocks. The following information will cover the configuration of the 152X as well as set up of TCP/IP on client machines.
Before you configure your Actiontec 152X, you must first configure your the TCP/IP on your computer to use DHCP.
Configuring TCP/IP to use DHCP for client machines:
Once you have finished configuring your computer, you can configure your Actiontec 152X. The following screen shots will guide you through the process.
All of the configuration for your Actiontec 152X is done via your web browser. If you are using Microsoft Windows or Mac OS 9 or older, you will want to use Internet Explorer. If you are using Mac OS X, then you should use Safari.
Upon opening your web browser you will need to enter the address of your Actiontec 152X.

Simply click the "Setup / Configuration" link.
Next click the large grey button labeled "Begin Basic Setup".
Click the small grey button labeled "Next".
The next question is "Are you an MSN user?", click No. Next you will need to select "PPPoA". You should have a capital letter at the beginning of your username, for example Dusername. If your username does not appear this way, you will need to check the email message that VISI support sent you. Finally enter your password and click small grey button labeled "Next".

Click the large grey button labeled "Save and Restart".
When you see the "Congratulations!" page, you should wait about 30 seconds while your Actiontec 152X reboots. You should the following lights turn green, Power, DSL, Internet, and Ethernet.
If you click the "Status" link at the top, you should see something similar to the above picture. Specifically look for "Connection", if it says "Connected" on the right, your DSL is working!
