VISI Remote VPN connections allow customers to access their services securely. The VPN connection creates a secure tunnel between your computer system and our hosting networks. We use the VPN technology built into Windows to provide the service.
Note: The documentation below was generated on Windows XP. The screens may look slightly different on older versions of Windows. The general configuration process is the same.
Double-click on the New Connection Wizard under the Network Connections control panel on your Windows sytem. Click the Next button to continue.
Select the radio button next to the Connect to the network at my workplace option. Click the Next button to continue.
Select the radio button next to the Virtual Private Network connection option. Click the Next button to continue.
Type in an appropriate name for the vpn connection (i.e., VISI VPN). Click the Next button to continue.
Select the radio button next to the Do not dial the initial connection option. This option assumes that you are already connected to the Internet before you try to connect to the vpn connection. Click the Next button to continue.
Type in the vpn gateway name or IP address provided by VISI. Click the Next button to continue.

Finally, click the Finish button to create the VPN connection profile.
You can connect to the VPN by double-clicking on the new profile in the Network Connections control panel.
Type your VPN username and password into the VPN dialog box. Click on the checkbox next to the option Save this user name and password for the following users. Click on the Connect button to activate the VPN connection.
