CURRENT EVENTS AND RANDOM THOUGHTS

This section is my own personal electronic soapbox. Usually it will be used to inform those who are interested of my progress towards my career goal and where you can find my art either on or off the web. Occasionally I will also use this site to speak my mind. Either way I intend to try to update this page as often as I can.

I have decided to make a little change in this section. Actually I've decided that since I don't update my site regularly enough it's silly to include the date with each item. It's actually a clever trick to keep you all from knowing just how pathetic I can be when it comes to updating my site. With that said let's get on to new business.

ITEM: FOLIOS, that's right I said folios. I am now selling portfolios of my art. I prepared two collections to sell at ANTHROCON and they sold well enough that I've decided to expand my catalog. The down side to this is that I will not be selling copies via this site. I will only be selling copies at the conventions I attend. However, copies can be obtained from ALLEYCAT BOOKS ONLINE. I also provided some of the art on their site. What are these folios you ask? Well they are: BEEF & CHEESE, a collection of 12 anthropomorphic pin-ups showcasing the best of bothe worlds, and the MIGHTY MINI MACRO FOLIO (Deluxe Edition), a collection of 12 anthropomorphic pin-ups spotlighting some statuesque females.

Folio Covers

The third as yet unfinished folio does not have a title yet but has a fantasy theme. With luck it will premier at MIDWEST FURFEST. I guess this would be a good time to mention that I'm planning to attend MIDWEST FURFEST, feel free to look for me in the Artist's Den.
ITEM: NAUTILUS #6 is done! Or will be shortly. I don't know when the final issue will be out but I expect it shouldn't be too long. I'll admit that I'm a little disappointed to see it come to an end, but on the plus side it will give me more time to work on the alledged strip idea I mentioned previously. But wait, there's more! I also have a short strip appearing in an upcoming issue of NEW HORIZONS. It's based on a script by Brian (da Bunnyman) Yelverton and is the first time I provide pencils, inks, and lettering for a story. Unless you include the new STARRUN story I did, but I'll save that for the next item.
ITEM: Coming soon: STARRUN, the collected volume. That's right, the people who brought you STARRUN (I'm talking about the original creators and not the fine people who bring you FURRLOUGH) have decided to collect the entire story in one glorious volume. This isn't just a reprint collection though. There's also an ALL NEW 12 page strip written and drawn by me. It'll be my first published story and I'm kind of excited. There are also some pin-ups and who knows what else. Not even the Shadow knows what'll be included. When copies are available I'll let you know how to obtain a copy.
ITEM: I almost forgot, I did make it to ANTHROCON. I had fun and got to meet a few new people and see a few I haven't seen since DUCKON. My only real complaint with the convention is that the Artist's Den was only until 6:00 pm. I don't really think of that as a complaint though. I wish I had the time to see more of the con, but I was there to work. Fortunately enough of the con passed though the Artist's Den that I feel I got to see enough to get the feel of the event. I'm thinking that I may try to attend again next year, or this year if it's 2001. I'll probably have to start saving now if I do though. I'll try to have an announcement here if I do.
ITEM: In other art news, if I can find the time I plan to try to come up with a strip of my own. I haven't decided yet where I'll try to submit it. I may just put it up here. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. By the way, this kind of falls into the "So Many Ideas, So little Time" catagory so it may be some time before I can actually follow through on this idea. UPDATE: I'm still trying to come up with an idea. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll come up with one sooner that later.

That's all for now, but feel free to check back every so often to see what's new in the life of a not quite starving artist.
